LVAD Independence Day
Somewhere I read that George III of England kept a diary. His entry for July 4, 1776 was something to the effect that nothing of significance happened. George was clueless it seems. The colonies became a force to be reckoned with eventually becoming the United States. The struggle for independence was a team effort and of course it didn't happen overnight.
I want to wish my compatriot LVADs best wishes for this 4th of July. We've made it another year. No selfish gloating here; only gratefulness for all who made this possible. Living life with an LVAD is a team effort in so many ways.
For us all, every day is Independence Day in a sense. We are all independent from the clutches of congestive heart failure for another day.
